New iPhone 13 might have the combination of Face ID and Touch ID to make unlocks due to the pandemics. It would use the biometric information entered under the display.

Apple also has an update to the iOS (in beta) to be recognized by the Face ID system even with the mask and thus unlock the smartphone. But with the condition that one wears Apple watch at the same time.
